GREAT LAKES
2008 "Freeze Your Dickens Off" Cruise
Well, it's been said that Mother Nature can be a cruel bitch and she definitely was this year! The Holly area got 12" to 15" inches of snow dumped on it the day before the ride. We knew a few of the Freaks wouldn't be able to make it, but we thought that  some of the closer ones might.

Big Moe, Gigs and Chainsaw were the only ones to show. After checking out the ride route and the nastiness of the roads, Moe decided that  this might not be the best situation for man nor beast. A gab session unsued for about an hour, then Moe decided to go home and work on his new bike project.

Chainsaw and Gigs drove a little further into town, unloaded and braved the elements, as well as the A-Holes on the road! Not much of a ride, as the snowy/slushy streets provided a difficult challenge just to stay up on two wheels. Riding was breath taking to say the least! So the shortened cruise was around one mile long and more than enough!

A big thanks to Big Moe for showing up.  We got to talk about the bikes and next year's rides and shows, that's always cool!

Thanks to Gigs for battling the elements with me!

The others that didn't show were probably the smarter of us Freaks and I'm glad they used good judgement. Better safe than sorry, not to mention the wasted time and gas!

For those who don't know it, the F.Y.D,O,  was started in 2006 as the very first ride of the FBM-GL and was a great cruise with 13 riders!  Last year we had to cancel the F.Y.D.O. due to several problems and now .... the 2008 cruise SUCKED!  I' hoping that the weather cooperates in 2009 and we can bring it back to it's glory!

We do have some "Freeze Your Dickens Off" shirts for anyone interested!
